## Standards the work follows

- **Indiana Plumbing Code (675 IAC 16-1.4).** The state plumbing code that governs the water piping.
- **City of Indianapolis plumbing permit.** Issued by the Department of Business and Neighborhood Services; the rough-in is inspected before walls close.
- **Citizens Energy Group service line standards.** The utility's rules for the buried service line from the water main to the house: SDR9 polyethylene for a full replacement, a Citizens permit and a plumber bonded with Citizens.

Process

## How a job runs

1. Look Find out what the pipes are made of and where they are failing: pressure and flow at the fixtures, the visible runs, the meter setting and the main valve.
2. Recommend A repair, a partial repipe or a whole-house repipe, with what each one replaces, which walls open and the price, in writing.
3. Do the work Permit pulled where the job needs one, new lines run in stages so the house keeps water most of the day, rough-in inspected before any wall closes.
4. Test and close up Pressure test and flush, fixtures and water heater reconnected, access openings patched as agreed.
